 Astrologer Dr. Arvind Mishra told that according to the famous Panchang Brajbhoomi and Martand Panchang, the transit of Sun is happening on January 14 at 2.13 pm.  Dr. Mishra told that Sun's entry into Capricorn is happening before sunset, so January 14 is the best date for Makar Sankranti.

 Astrologer Dr. Arvind Mishra told that according to the Muhurta Chintamani book, the auspicious time of Makar Sankranti is 16 hours before and 16 hours after the auspicious time of Sun.  This time Punyakal will start from 7.15 am on January 14, which will last till 5:44 pm in the evening.  One can bathe, donate, chant in it.  On the other hand, if you consider a stable marriage, that is, then the Mahapunya Kaal Muhurta will last from 9 o'clock to 10.30 minutes.  After this, from 1.32 pm to 3.28 pm.

  Bathing in holy rivers has special significance on the day of Makar Sankranti.  It is not safe to travel due to Corona at this time.  Therefore, on the day of Makar Sankranti, take bath in an auspicious time in the morning.  Keep in mind that before bathing, mix black sesame seeds, light jaggery and Gangajal in water.  After bathing put on clean clothes and fill the copper vessel with water.  Put black sesame, jaggery, red sandalwood, red flowers, akshat (rice) in this water.  Then offer Arghya while chanting the mantras of Sun God.  After worshiping Sun God, offer black sesame seeds to Shani Dev.
